Overview

The Manager II provides leadership to leaders and/or professionals and is accountable for the performance and results of multiple related teams. Decisions are guided by division objectives. The Leadership impacts the business results of a division by setting priorities, allocating resources, and developing policies and plans. The Manager II - Vulnerability Management is responsible for overseeing the vulnerability management teams.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees ongoing vulnerability assessments and security audits to identify cybersecurity risks
  • Drives improvements necessary to mitigate those risks
  • Performs technical analysis of vulnerabilities and leads in the development of vulnerability corrective action plans
  • Conducts a regular review of network, application and operation system security documents and procedures
  • Reviews results of vulnerability assessments and code reviews and informs management of vulnerabilities, risk and mitigation
  • Provides technical expertise to the vulnerability assessment team responsible for the testing, validating, and the security of the company's applications, servers, and networks
  • Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function
  • Conducts network or software vulnerability assessments and penetration testing utilizing reverse engineering techniques
  • Perform vulnerability analysis and exploitation of applications, operating systems or networks
  • Identifies intrusion or incident path and method
  • Isolates, blocks, or removes threat access
  • Evaluates findings and performs root cause analysis
  • Performs analysis of complex software systems to determine both functionality and intent of software systems

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in progressive leadership positions in technology or cyber security roles
  • 8+ years of experience in risk, vulnerability, and exceptions management including addressing issues and escalations
  • 8+ years systems experience in threat intelligence, vulnerability modeling and remediation
  • Extensive experience supporting audit and risk assessments
  • Significant experience in implementing or understanding of NIST CSF, CIS Benchmarks and other frameworks
  • Extensive experience in common security domains such as identity management, security operations, endpoint security
  • Experience with industry vulnerability scanning tools such as Tenable, Wiz, etc.
  • Significant experience developing strategic plans and roadmaps for service improvement
  • Significant experience in networking, operating systems, applications
  • Advanced skill communicating complex technical and non-technical issues with stakeholders, staff, and leaders at all levels in a digestible and actionable manner
  • Expert skill communicating project and technical governance with staff, leaders, and stakeholders at all levels in the organization
  • Extensive experience presenting complex findings, proposals and solutions to senior department leadership to gain buy in and support
  • Significant experience managing budgets in excess of $10 million
  • Significant experience with process improvements and process mapping
