THE MENTALIST SEASON 7

The last season of a really good series!! This season is
quite abbriviated, as there's only 12 episode!!

EPISODE # 1: NOTHING BUT BLUE SKIES(Nov. 30, 2014):

This picks up where the last season left off, with Jane
professing his love to Lisbon!! As for the case, a man is
shot to death outside a bar and the gang is called in!
Seems like the guy was shot for being an FBI plant doing
survailence on an illegal arms dealer in Texas!

Jane and Lisbon decide it might be best to keep their
relationship on the down low for a while!

A new face in the office!

Missing in action, permanently, are Wayne, Grace and
Teresa! A

EPISODE # 2: THE GREYBAR HOTEL(Dec. 7, 2014):

Car theft is the game in this one! Lisbon ends up in prison
to try to get information from a woman that's part of the
group that's running high end car thefts! She's in prison
and so there goes Lisbon!

At the end of this there's a lead-in to the next episode! A

EPISODE # 3: ORANGE BLOSSOM ICE CREAM(Dec. 14, 2014):

Jane and Lisbon are off to Beirut and meet up with an
old "friend", Erica Flynn!! They're there to track down
a terrorist!

By this point I'm sure you've noticed that there have
been no name guest stars this season!

Also, all of these episodes so far have been quite good!! A

EPISODE # 4: BLACK MARKET(Dec. 21, 2014):

This starts out with a case about stolen diamonds! But
also going on is Jane is not feeling well, and won't
admit that he needs to go to a doctor!! And then there's
the story concerning Abbott's wife being vetted for a
high postition in Washington, but his past might cause
issues!!

First star sighting here: Claudia Christian(Babylon 5),
nearly unrecognizable here!!! A

EPISODE # 5: THE SILVER BRIEFCASE(Dec. 28, 2014):

After a quick round of war games(kinda), Jane's curiosity
is piqued by a certain Colonel Raymond, and after he finds
out that his wife was murdered nine months privious it makes
him all the more intersted! Jane thinks there's more to the
whole story than what came down at the trial! A

EPISODE # 6: GREEN LIGHT(Jan. 7, 2015):

The DEA pulls a raid that ends up a bust, and during the
raid one of the officers gets rough with the owner after
he had roughed up another agent!! And of course this wouldn't
be The Mentalist unless a dead body show up, which happens
to be the officer!! A

EPISODE # 7: LITTLE YELLOW HOUSE(Jan. 14, 2015):

Lisbon's brother is wanted by the feds!! He appears
to know something about a murder of a son of a judge!
It appears that he also has gotten into trouble about
gambling, but that's just a ruse!

Guest starring as Lisbon's brother is Robert Belushi,
son of John!! A

EPISODE # 8: THE WHITES OF HIS EYES(Jan. 21, 2015):

Scene opens with a sniper dude killing four people,
one a random real estate agent, two FBI agents and
a man who was to testify at a trial about a murder
involving a well dude that's part of a well known
crime family!! This brings in our team who proptly
get attacked, and one of the agents goes down who's
job becomes protecting the only other witness to
the murder!

This brings up a big issue between Lisbon and Jane! A

EPISODE # 9: COPPER BULLET(Jan. 28, 2015):

Good old Bill Peterson is back, and he's trying
to make life Hell for Abbott!! He's dug up the
the body of a man that Abbott shot many years
ago to pull out the bullett and use it to take
Abbott down!

There's a tribute at the end of this episode to
Danielle Aranda, who apparently was the daughter
of an employee at WB and was quite well liked
by the whole cast! I read that she had down
syndrome and that Simon Baker was responsible
for the tribute!

This is one of the greatest episodes - EVER!!! A

EPISODE # 10: NOTHING GOLD CAN STAY(Feb. 4, 2015):

This is about the robbery of a bank armoured car
and Jane picks out the accomplice at the bank
right away, but the dude won't talk!!

Wiley finally get the nerve to ask Vega out!

During a bust, one of the main crew gets shot!! A

EPISODE # 11: BYZANTIUM(Feb. 11, 2015):

Jane is dealing with the death of the character from
the previous episode by giving himself space from
the whole FBI scene! Meanwhile there's a couple of
young lovers who are in a wilderness area that are
killed and another "psychic" come to the office to
help out, not of his own volition! Lisbon puts out
a warrent for Jane to get him to talk to her, and
he again says he needs space! A lot going on here!

It looks like they decided to end the series the
way it started, with another serial killer! Not my
favorite arc! A

EPISODE # 12: BROWN SHAG CARPET/WHITE ORCHIDS(Feb. 18, 2015):

The wrap-up to the previous episode, this one puts
together the last two episodes as an hour and a half
mini-movie!! Jane is talked into putting on like he's
a true psychic and it gets the attention of the serial
killer who promptly kidnaps Jane, leaving the rest of
the team to try to find out where he is before the
sicko physcho does him in!!

It was nice that this episode brought back the old
crew: Wayne Rigsby(Owain Yoeman), Grace Van Pelt(now
Rigsby)(Amanda Righetti) & Jimmy Lisbon(Robert Balushi)!

The final episode of the series! A

When The Mentalist first premiered, I wasn't too
sure how long a show about a fake psychic would
last...but I'm so happy they never touched it and
let it run as long as it did.

"Cho" has always been my favorite due to the 'stare'
he gives stupid people. :) I'm hoping a spin off follows
that brings Van Pelt & Rigsby back - maybe their
quick cameo in the final show is a hint?? Gotta have
Wylie to bring in that 'virginistic' tech dude vibe...and
there is someone female that I wish could come back,
but can't (no spoilers!). She would've been worth
watching working side by side with Cho.

I'll definitely miss this show and can't wait to see
what everyone's up to throughout the year. - jen_marien
