Gargoyles can be assigned as a Slayer task by various Slayer masters at level 75 Slayer, level 80 combat, and with completion of the Priest in Peril quest. They are only found in the Slayer Tower, either on the top floor or in the basem*nt. The gargoyles in the basem*nt of the Slayer Tower can only be killed while on a Slayer task, as Raulyn will stop the player if they attempt to fight them off-task. Gargoyles have a Superior slayer monster variant, the level 349 marble gargoyle. Gargoyles also have a chance to drop the brittle key, which gives permanent access to the Grotesque Guardians at the top of the Slayer Tower, a boss variant of the monster.
