TRIBUTES have been paid to fitness influencer Gino Molina, known as Big Wicked after Strength Cartel confirmed his death.
Molina who became a core part of the gym for fitness enthusiasts reportedly died on Sunday after spending time with his family on Memorial weekend.
Strength Cartel posted a tribute to the heavyweight lifter in an Instagram post.
“May Wicked rest in peace, and our deepest condolences go out to his family on behalf of the entire Strength Cartel family,” the post read.
“Our hearts are with you during this difficult time.”
To honor the heavy hitter who has over 33,000 followers on Instagram, fans have vowed to do 100 push-ups every day for the next month to make him proud.
“Rip solider 100 push ups every day this month for u cuz,” one wrote as others already shared clips of them “dropping 40” to honor Molino.
“Let’s do it. 10 am everyday 100 push ups,” one said.
Fellow fitness influencers from Strength Cartel have shared the idea of the fitting tribute.
“In memory of our SC brother Wicked we want to pay a push-up tribute in honor of his memory,” another post from the gym said.
“Let’s keep his memory alive and tag us on your push-ups.”
One fan even said that Molino helped him through the pandemic.
“Idk what happened bro but big boys push-up challenges videos when he was fresh out in 2020 is what got me through the pandemic when gyms shut down bro that sh*t sucks bro rest in peace!” he wrote.
“Still can’t believe this is real just watching his video yesterday Rip,” another said.
Numerous fans have since shared a heartbreaking video Molino posted on his Instagram just days before his death.
“For all the homies and ones fighting for their lives behind the walls and to all those solid homies doing life much love keep your Head up,” the influencer wrote in the caption.
Molino filmed himself talking to viewers by a pier telling fans, “Sometimes in life, we take things for granted and we don’t realize that sometimes people don’t get a second chance.
“Sometimes we don’t even know how fast things can be taken away from us,” he continued.
He said that he has had time to reflect and realized that he could have been in another place “doing stupid things instead of being out here enjoying life.”
“Some of us behind those walls never ever get another chance to do these things and see these things,” he added.
“I fell off, took a lot of things for granted but now I have snapped back out of it trying to see at the same time life is good.
“Gotta keep on striving no matter what. Gotta keep on going. Some people don’t get that chance.”
